At least four people were killed and 11 others injured after a heavy explosion hit Afghanistan's capital Kabul on Wednesday. There is no information available regarding the type of the explosion and the target of the blast, according to the Afghan (Khaama Press).
Eyewitnesses said that a vehicle of the security forces was targeted close to the Ministry of Defense compound in Pul-e-Mahmood Khan area. There are conflicting reports regarding the cause of the explosion and it is yet not clear if it was a suicide attack or an explosion triggered by an explosive device.
A security official however said the blast was likely triggered by a suicide attack and at least four security personnel were killed and 11 others were wounded. No group has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
This comes as at least one person was killed in a magnetic bomb explosion in Karte Naw area of Kabul city late on Tuesday evening.
