Afghan security forces arrested four Taliban militants and foiled their design to target a military airport in the western Herat province on Friday, a military spokesman said. "Acting upon intelligence report, the commando of national army raided a house in Shindand district early morning today and arrested four Taliban rebels who had planned to fire missile on the Shindand airport," Nasrullah Nasiri told Xinhua. "We also found and seized four missiles which were adjusted towards the Shindand airport," he added. Shindand airport is the only military airfield in the western region where scores of Afghan and NATO-led force aircraft are parked.
