At least 22 passengers were killed and 33 others wounded in a traffic mishap on the Kabul-Kandahar Highway in southern Zabul province of Afghanistan on Thursday, said officials.
Zabul traffic department official, Zabihullah told the media that the accident between a passenger vehicle and a truck occurred in Kakarano Cheena area close to Qalat City, the capital city of the province.
The official further said that the bus was on its way to Kabul collided with a truck, blaming the bus driver for negligence and recklessness.
The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital in the police vehicles and ambulances where condition of many injured was reported critical.
