A suicide bomber targeted international soldiers when he blew up his explosives-laden car in Afghanistans capital city Kabul on Friday, said officials. Police spokesman, Hashmatullah Stanikzai, said that the bomber struck at 1. 00 pm local time when an International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) convoy was plying the Kabul-Jalalabad road. He further said that police were investigating the incident in the 9th police district. He had no information about ISAF casualties adding that civilians had escaped unhurt. The security forces cordoned off the area. Earlier on Wednesday, multiple rocket attacks struck the capital city Kabul and at least eight people including four policemen were injured in different attacks across Afghanistan. The security situation in Afghanistan has been worsening as the national security force has taken control of overall security of the country this year as NATO/ISAF forces prepare to leave Afghanistan till end of 2014.
