The Taliban militants suffered heavy casualties during the raids of the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) in southern Kandahar province, Afghanistan's Khaama Press reported Thursday.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) said at least 32 militants were killed and 18 others were wounded during the operations.
A statement by MoD said at least two militants were arrested during the same operation which was conducted in Shahwali Kot district.
MoD in its statement further added that the operations were part of the ongoing clearance raids being conducted by the Afghan forces.
According to MoD, at least five militants were killed during a separate operation in southeastern Patkika province and seven more were wounded.
At least three militants were killed during an operation in Syed Karam district of Paktia and another militant was injured, MoD said, adding that three more were killed in another operation conducted in Ghormach district of Faryab.
The Afghan forces also killed another militant in Shindand and Guzra districts of Herat in western Afghanistan, MoD added.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the reports so far.
