Security forces have arrested a would-be suicide bomber child in Kunduz province, provincial police chief Mohammad Qasim Janglebagh said Sunday.
"Rohullah, an 11-year-old, was kidnapped by Taliban five years ago and the child after receiving training on how to make bomb and conduct suicide attack was captured by police on Saturday before going to detonate himself," Janglebagh told reporters here.
The boy, according to the official, has admitted during investigation that the militants had given training to him and more children on how to conduct suicide attacks.
In addition to providing training on how to tie explosive device to his body and blow himself up, the Taliban sometimes also injected him with a special medicine, the child said, according to the police official.
Taliban militants have yet to make comment.
