Seventeen elements of the Houthi and Saleh militias have been killed in clashes with army and resistance troops in the southern Yemeni city of Taiz.
Government troops foiled attacks by the militias, said the media center of the military council in Taiz in a statement Wednesday, adding that five army troops were killed and seven more injured in the face-off.
Arab coalition jets, meanwhile, hit targets of the militias in southern Taiz, destroying three military vehicles and a missile launcher, the statement added.
