Two Yemeni soldiers were killed Monday in an attack on a security checkpoint in the South of Yemen. Yemeni security released a statement today saying that unknown gunmen on a motor bike fired their machine guns at the gate of a police station, killing two of the officers on guard. The statement added that Yemeni security were in pursuit of the killers.The South of Yemen has been seeing increasing instability with clashes between security and rebel groups. The violence prompted Yemeni President Abd Rabu Mansour to form a committee that succeeded in striking an agreement between the two parties.
