Some 41 Houthis and pro-Saleh forces were killed and scores were wounded in clashes in Taiz with Yemeni forces backed by popular resistance on the ground and the Saudi-led Arab coalition overheads, the military council of Taiz said Thursday.
Six of the popular resistance fighters and six civilians were also killed in the clashes, the media center of the council said.
After retaking Aden from Houthis in July, the Yemeni forces, backed by the Arab coalition, began an offensive to drive out Houthis from Taiz.
