Six officers were killed and nine others wounded, including civilians, in a suicide attack by a car bomb targeting a security checkpoint in Yemen's southern city of Aden.
The suicide bomber detonated his vehicle during the attempt of the checkpoint's officers to search the car, a security source said.
The car was planned to target another place not the checkpoint, the source added.
The checkpoint's commander and two other personnel were among the injured people, he said.
In the meantime, some unknown militants, driving a truck, threw a grenade at a police station in Aden and fled away.
Only a policeman was injured in the incident, which caused damage to the place.
