The command of the Arab coalition forces to support the legitimacy in Yemen issued a statement declaring adherence to a three-day ceasefire as of midnight today.
The statement which was carried by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), said that "in response to a request by Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, in his letter to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the king of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, it is decided to start a cease-fire as of the time (11:59) pm Yemen time on Wednesday for a period of (three) days".
"As stated in the letter of President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, the President of the Republic of Yemen, and for the entrance and distribution of the greatest possible humanitarian and medical assistance to the brotherly Yemeni people, the coalition forces will abide by the ceasefire, with the continuation of the air and maritime embargo and inspection and aerial reconnaissance of any moves by the Houthi militias and troops loyal to them," the statement added.
