The Marib power plant resumed operation on Saturday after six-month hiatus due to fighting between the public resistance on one side and Houthi militias and forces loyal to former Yemeni president Ali Abdullah Salah on the other.
The operation of the power plant came after the militias were kicked out from the city.
The Ma'rib power plant provides Sanaa with electricity. Suspending of its operation has pushed the capital to live in a blackout over the past six months.
The Yemeni electricity corporation was providing Sanaa with power for one hour each four days.
