Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness is still backing his side to progress in the UEFA Champions League, despite defeat at Basel. The German giants went down 1-0 to the Swiss champions in the opening leg of their last-16 tie last night. \"There is no point looking for reasons for this defeat straight after the game, we need to look forward,\" Hoeness said. \"The result leaves everything open for the return leg. \"I am not at all worried that we will not manage to turn it around in the second leg. We need things to settle down again quickly, believe in ourselves and not let external disturbances get to us.\" Heynckes unconcerned at Ribery gesture Bayern coach Jupp Heynckes did not attach any significance to Franck Ribery\'s refusal to shak his hand when he was substituted. \"I don\'t read too much into that,\" he said. \"It\'s obvious that a player who is taken off in such a game is not happy, but I had to take a risk. I think that Franck was looking tired, so I had to replace him. \"When you have [Thomas] Muller and [Ivica] Olic on the bench, I think it is legitimate to think about a substitution.\"
