Barkley, 18, suffered a triple leg break just 18 months ago that has seen his development at Goodison Park take a setback but Moyes is now fully confident that the youngster is ready to make a return to Premier League action. Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Moyes admitted: \"My intention was to reintroduce Ross back into the first team squad - my idea was always to do it around April time, but give him some months of games first. \"When he [initially] came into the first team, he was ready to play. He\'d trained all summer, he\'d been training for months to recover from his triple broken leg. But there was a big dip not long after. \"I hear a lot of people asking where Ross is, but he\'s not been ready to play in the team. \"There are certainly signs that he is getting better now. We tried to get as many games into him as possible because he missed so many games, and he\'ll get the benefit.\" Barkley has reportedly attracted the interest of other Premier League clubs, most notably Manchester United and Chelsea, although the youngster recently signed a contract that will keep him at Goodison until 2016. Despite drawing comparisons with former Everton starlet Wayne Rooney, Moyes is keen to keep the midfielder grounded. He warned: \"Ross is a talented player but he missed two years and had to go back and understand the game. You can\'t draw comparison with the other fella. \"He played very well for England Under-19s recently, so there are good signs we have a real promising player here. \"But that\'s what we do here - we bring them along at the right speed and hopefully end up doing the right thing.\"
