Eighteen judiciary units are currently providing services to Hajis at the Grand Mosque and at all holy sites including Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, the Ministry of Justice said.
The judiciary and administrative units have to consider issues related to Hajis, power of attorney on the sacrificial animal project, fixing and keeping money and property left by deceased Hajis, and finalizing urgent issues in accordance with integrated justice systems, ministry officials said.
In the area of documentation, the ministry assigned 12 notaries to provide all documentary requirements for Hajis in terms of documenting agencies and power of attorneys on the sacrificial animal project.
Meanwhile, the Haj Committee at the Ministry of Justice said this work comes in line with the Kingdom’s efforts through a variety of its departments in serving the guests of Allah.
Accordingly, the ministry has mobilized all its administrative, technical and judiciary cadres to provide Hajis with all their needs in the holy places during the Haj season, the committee said.
To accomplish its mission properly, the ministry took into consideration the adequate geographical distribution of its judiciary units to ensure wider coverage at the holy sites and make them more accessible to the Hajis.
In the meantime, 26 employees of the Finance (Treasury) House at the General Court in Makkah are working on an around-the-clock basis in Mina to receive properties of deceased Hajis and stolen items seized by the security authorities.
For his part, Ministry Undersecretary and Head of Haj Committee Dr. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Omairah has inspected the judiciary units working at the holy sites.
He stressed that the work of the judiciary units was progressing in a positive way, in accordance with the aspirations and directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the crown prince and deputy crown prince.
