ADNOC Distribution has consolidated its service station network in the emirate of Abu Dhabi with the opening of the Khalifa City-South service station - located near Al Forsan International Sports Resort and the Emirates Identity Authority’s headquarters.
The inauguration was attended by Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, Director, Sales and Marketing Directorate of ADNOC Distribution, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, Acting Chief Executive Officer, ADNOC Distribution Suhail Shahin Al Marrar, guest of honour and members of the company’s Board of Directors. A group of specially invited Khalifa City residents also attended the event and used the opportunity to share their views on the company’s products and services.
With the opening of the newly unveiled 24-hour service station, ADNOC Distribution now operates two service stations in Khalifa City. The new station featuring four islands is fitted-out with eight fuel pumps dispensing E-Plus 91, Special 95, and Super 98 fuels, as well as Natural Gas for Vehicles (NGV). Furthermore, it offers a range of allied services including automatic car wash service from 7am to 10pm and an ADNOC Oasis convenience store.
Taking the total number of ADNOC Distribution service stations in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to 166, the Khalifa City – South service station is in line with the company’s strategic plans to expand geographically in Khalifa City and across the wider emirate.
Speaking at the opening, Saeed Mubarak Al Rashdi, said: "ADNOC Distribution is keen to align our expansion with the UAE’s own growth plans. We seek through our new openings to locate ourselves closer to our customers. The openings are scheduled on the basis of careful assessments to identify densely populated zones and prospective markets."
He added: "At ADNOC Distribution we are committed to meeting and exceeding customer expectations through our high quality products and services. We have an ambitious growth target on the cards and plan to roll-out several new service stations before the end of 2016 - while continuing to implement our expansion strategy through 2017 and beyond."
Al Rashdi pointed out that in line with this ongoing strategy, ADNOC Distribution is currently constructing a third service station in Khalifa City set to become operational by Q1, 2017.
Meanwhile, work is also underway at Khalifa City - North service station that is being expanded to feature five additional islands with 10 dispensers - including one dedicated to Green Diesel catering to trucks and large buses. Upon its projected completion in Q2, 2017.
