Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, and Gerard Speer, Australian Consul-General to the UAE, with his delegation, discussed ways of promoting cooperation between the two countries in the areas of infrastructure and housing.
Hassan Jumaa Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, and Mohammed Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, along with other officials from the ministry, attended the meeting.
Dr. Al Nuaimi’s said that the Ministry of Infrastructure Development is seeking to improve the UAE’s infrastructure system by following the best international practices in the field and adopting the latest developments in the areas of planning, design, implementation and maintenance.
During the meeting, Dr. Al Nuaimi praised the bilateral relations between the two countries in all sectors while stressing the importance of exchanging knowledge in the field of infrastructure, due to its effective role in promoting institutional work between both sides.
Speer expressed his appreciation for the generous welcome and hospitality, highlighting the UAE’s prominent international position in the areas of infrastructure and housing, due to the ongoing support from the UAE government to this vital sector.
