Britain Welcomes participation of Saudi women in Majlis Al-Shura

The United Kingdom welcomed yesterday the decision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Saudi women\'s participation in the membership of Majlis Al-Shura and their nomination as candidates in municipal elections, considering the decision as an important step. British Foreign Secretary William Hague welcomed in a statement last night the King\'s decision on granting women the right to vote and nominate as candidates in the upcoming municipal elections.
