The Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, today distributed Eid sacrifices to the families of martyrs and those injured, with a sacrifice for each family, in Tarim in the Hadramaut Valley, as well as cash to people in remote areas instead of coupons, as part of the "Zayed’s Legacy to Support Yemeni People" campaign, to make them happy during Eid al-Adha.
The "Zayed’s Legacy to Support Yemeni People" campaign is being implemented under the framework of the desire of the wise leadership, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to support Yemenis, and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to support the families of martyrs and those injured.
The campaign, launched by the ERC on 16th August, aims to provide Eid sacrifices and clothing, as well as gifts and cash, until the third day of Eid, in the various Yemeni governorates.
The ERC team in Hadramaut went to three districts - Hajr, Eastern Ad Dis and Tarim, and their delegation visited several families of martyrs and those injured, to check on their condition and provide them with Eid sacrifices.
Ahmed Al Neyadi, Head of the ERC Team in Hadramaut, highlighted the considerable interest of the UAE’s government and people to improve the humanitarian conditions in Yemen, reflecting the strength of relations between the two countries.
Al Neyadi added that during the distribution of sacrifices, they also distributed cash in remote areas instead of coupons, to enable the beneficiaries to buy clothes.
He also noted that the humanitarian goal of the campaign is to make the families happy during the blessed days of Eid, while showing the UAE’s appreciation of their sacrifices for the nation.
The families of martyrs and those injured expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the UAE’s leadership, government and people for supporting the residents of Hadramaut and the Yemenis in general, by providing humanitarian aid and restoring their country’s infrastructure.
