Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani has strongly condemned the suicide attack that targeted the UN compound in the Nigerian capital, Abuja, killing 18 and wounding dozens. Dr. Al Zayani said that such a « cowardly terrorist » attack contradicts with all human values, expressing deep regret over targeting a building containing UN relief and human development agencies supporting African people. Dr. Al Zayani offered his sincere condolences to the UN Secretary General and the victims’ families, wishing the wounded quick recovery.
