The Cairo Criminal Court on Saturday sentenced former interior minister Habib el Adly to seven years rigorous imprisonment on charges of stealing public funds worth more than two billion pounds.
Twelve other Interior Ministry leader were convicted in the case.
The convicts were found guilty of stealing the money in the period between 2000 and 2011.
