The leader of the Houthi militia movement, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, described on Monday the assassination of former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh as “extraordinary and historic”.
“Our appeals to the leader of the conference were met with a negative attitude,” Houthi said.
Al-Houthi has called for a major march in Sanaa on Tuesday for what he said was a “God sent” incident after the death of Saleh.
Houthi militias had earlier confirmed that they killed Saleh by attacking his car with sniper bullets and rocket-propelled grenades.
