Jordanian Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Ayman Safadi, and his Saudi counterpart Adel Al Jubeir on Monday reviewed regional developments, notably efforts to push forward the peace process as well as the Syrian crisis and the fight against terrorism and extremism, Jordanian news agency Petra reported.
The two ministers highlighted during their meeting the importance of the visit of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to Jordan and the need to build on its outcome.
They also discussed preparations for the Arab summit, stressing the importance of "enhancing joint Arab action, coordination and cooperation to address the challenges facing Jordan and Saudi Arabia and serve the interests of both countries," Petra reported.
The Saudi monarch had arrived earlier today in Amman on a visit to Jordan while he chairs the Saudi delegation to the 28th regular Arab summit.
