Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir is heading his country's delegation to the 38th Gulf summit in Kuwait, Kuwait Television reported on Tuesday.
Kuwait’s official television showed footage of the Saudi foreign minister with the emir of Kuwait at the hall where the summit is taking place.
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Anwar Gargash is also leading the UAE’s delegation to the summit.
Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani arrived in Kuwait to participate at the summit where Doha’s ongoing dispute with the Anti-Terror Quarter of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt is expected to be the focus of discussion.
Host nation Kuwait, which is leading mediation efforts to resolve the crisis, and Qatar were the only members of the six-nation alliance to send top-level representation -- their respective emirs -- to attend the summit.
