The National Assembly (the parliament) referred, during its special session on Monday, a bill to the government approving budgets of 10 institutions for the fiscal year of 2011-2012, after it was being discussed and voted on. The bill estimated revenues of the budgets of the National Assembly, Kuwait University, Public Authority for Civil Information, General Fire Department, Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Public Authority for Minors Affairs, Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources, Public Authority for Assessment of Compensation for Damages resulting from the Iraqi Aggression, Public Authority for Youth and Sports, and the Public Authority for Environment close to KD 23.477 million, and expenditures at KD 1.175 billion. Meanwhile, expenditure outweighed revenues by some KD 1.152 billion, to be covered by the Finance Ministry.
