Qatar Charity has launched the third phase of its relief efforts in Libya, opening a liaison office in Tripoli and earmarking QRs 640, 000. Ali Kbaisi, spokesman for international devlopment at the charity said the phase was in continuation of the assistance that started in February to help the Libyan people in the extraordinary situation they are experiencing , in cooperation with local organizations. The third phase of the assistance program, Kbaisi explained, involves provision of drinking water, medicines, food and children milk. Qatar charity started its campaign for Libya on February 27 and set aside QRs 3.5 million for the purpose in two phases. The number of beneficiaries in the first phase was 17,000 whereas their number in the second reached 27,000 Kbaisi said.
