H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has received the young Emirati genius, Adeeb Sulaiman Al Balushi, and his sister, Dana Al Balushi, the youngest astronaut at NASA, while accompanied by their father, Sulaiman Al Balushi.
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr said that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is providing considerable attention to young national talents, and is keen to promote and raise their capacities in all areas while believing in the abilities of all UAE nationals and their vital role in building the country and promoting its international position.
He expressed his pride in talented and innovative UAE nationals, who raise the nation’s flag in international arenas as a result of their accomplishments, further promoting the UAE's position in the field of innovation, and continuing the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to ensure the nation's advancement.
His Highness congratulated Adeeb Al Balushi for winning the Arab Innovator Award from the Arab Achievers Foundation, in appreciation of his exceptional local and international achievements. He also praised the scientific achievements and innovative inventions of Adeeb and his sister Dana, and their contributions towards attaining international awards while representing the UAE.
Sheikh Saud was briefed by Adeeb about his future innovative plans, inventions and projects, and the awards the young talent received while representing the UAE in Arab and international forums in the United States and Europe. He also listened to Dana Al Balushi, who is the youngest UAE astronaut at NASA, about her ambitions to become the first female astronaut to reach Mars.
