Saudi Arabia rejects calls of politicising Hajj, says it is worship
Makkah - Musimchronicle

Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Governor of Makkah region and Chairman of the Central Hajj Committee has affirmed the Kingdom's rejection of all calls aiming at politicising and internationalising Hajj, noting that Hajj is a worship and civilised behavior.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, he pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's leadership, government and people are keen to provide all potential to serve pilgrims, Umrah performers and visitors to perform their rituals with ease, calling on pilgrims to be ethical and civilised models for Muslims.

In response to a question on the State of Qatar's campaigns calling for the politicisation and internationalisation of Hajj and trying to reduce the role of the Kingdom in providing services to pilgrims, he said, "The answer is in the title of Hajj campaign that Hajj is a worship and civilised behavior, and there is no politicisation of Hajj."
