Brigadier General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of the Sharjah Police and Chairman of the Sharjah Higher Security Command Committee, chaired a regular meeting of the Committee on Tuesday.
The meeting was held at the Emirates Martyrs' Hall in the headquarters of the General Command.
He said that the meeting coincides with the preparations of the Sharjah Police for the Eid holiday and the beginning of the new academic year, stressing the need to enhance security measures related to the protection of society, smooth flow of traffic, and public safety in all areas and neighbourhoods as well as sites frequently used by members of the public.
During the meeting, Al Shamsi was briefed on the report of the team preparing to follow up on the Sharjah Security Zone Award before addressing several other issues on its agenda.
