SHARJAH - Arabstoday

Sharjah Police Tuesday launched a service called Najeed for the public to report any information that helps to maintain the security and stability of the country. Launching the service, Major General Humaid Al Hudaidi, Chief of Sharjah Police, said it enables residents to lodge complaints and provide information about any illegal activities. Maj. Gen. Al Hudaidi said Sharjah Police is keen to implement advanced electronic technology to enhance the security services. \"The service will help people contact the police in a secret and secure way, and also maintain confidentiality. All information provided by the caller will be confidential, their identities will be protected and they will be exempted from any criminal responsibility,\" Maj. Gen. Al Hudaidi said.
