A UAE youth delegation, representing the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare, participated in the two-week 29th International Youth Summit, which was held in Bouznika, Morocco and was organised by the Moroccan Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The international summit, which is part of the activities of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, GCC, and was held under the theme, "For an Educational and Creative Youth Summit," saw the participation of 45 young men and women from various Arab countries.
Jassem Al Dabl, Head of the UAE Delegation, explained that the summit had achieved its goals of encouraging a movement of Arab youth, and providing its participants with the opportunity to learn about each other and exchange their experience and knowledge, as well as to extend the bridges of communication between the youth of Arab countries and their counterparts from Morocco.
It also provided them with the opportunity to learn about varied and diverse cultures and civilisations, through visits, which are part of the summit’s programme, to major tourist attractions in several Moroccan cities, such as Marrakech, Rabat, and Casablanca, he added.
The participants from the UAE expressed their gratitude to the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare for choosing them to represent the country at the International Youth Summit. They further pointed out that participating in such events with their Arab counterparts opens up new horizons for them.
They also benefit from the expertise of others players, which strengthens the concepts of cultural exchange and widens their capacity for knowledge, they added.
