The Jordanian lady, Mona Shehaber, has been able to present "Al Daqaa Al Gazawiya" (A kind of Arab food) through her venture, where she cooks the food and delivers it to customers.
In interview with Arabs Today, Shehaber said that she made "Al Daqaa Al Gazawiya" in her home for her family, adding that this meal is usually served on breakfast with oil and sometimes placed on some dishes and salads for their taste.
"My friends and acquaintances ask me to make it to them," she said, adding that after four years, she participated in a bazaar for embassies, which is held every year in Jordan, and she made it (Al Daqaa Al Gazawiya) and found that it won the admiration of the customers, so she decided to open her new own venture.
Shehaber said that she markets for her products through social media platforms. She added that "Al Daqaa Al Gazawiya" consists of sumac, coriander, cumin, chickpeas and sesame.
It is noteworthy that "Al Daqaa" components have multiple benefits as that the sumac has characteristics of resistance to bacteria and research shows that it can be used to treat high blood sugar, diabetes, obesity and excessive. While coriander is known to help digestion and reduce blood sugar, harmful cholesterol and raise the proportion of beneficial cholesterol.
For cumin, it helps digestion and works as an anti-depressant and helps people suffering from respiratory disorders such as asthma and bronchitis and is rich in vitamin A and C, which promote immunity and vitamin E useful for the skin.
Chickpeas is an excellent source of fiber, folic acid, iron, protein and zinc, which is low in fat.
While sesame is the main benefit that it protects against liver damage, high blood pressure and lowering the level of harmful cholesterol, which is also rich in calcium, iron, zinc, vitamins and omega-6 fatty acids.
