Egyptian actor Hassan Youssef has denied reports that he employs bodyguards to protect him after he received death threats a few weeks ago. Youssef was sent an SMS text with explicit death threats to him and his family, but says the matter has been blown out of proportion. Speaking to Arabstoday, he said: "I ??would like to make it clear that I received only one SMS, not more than that, as was reported by some media outlets." He explained that the incident is being investigated. "I informed the authorities about the threats and authorised my lawyer to follow the progress of the case. He told me that security services have identified the person who sent that message and he is being questioned." Youssef is married to the actress Shams Baroudi, who retired from acting several years ago after she decided to wear the veil.
