"Sopranos" star Lorraine Bracco said James Gandolfini's death was a wake-up call for her to improve her health.
Gandolfini died at the age of 51 from a sudden heart attack. After his death, Bracco went on a 14-day detox, eliminating all processed foods, sugars, dairy, eggs, gluten, soy, alcohol and caffeine. She continued to eat healthily and exercise afterward, losing 35 pounds over the course of a year. She kept the weight off.
She detailed her experience in her book To the Fullest: The Clean Up Your Act Plan to Lose Weight, Rejuvenate and Be the Best You Can Be.
Gandolfini's death was a "jolting reminder" of how you can be "here today and gone tomorrow."
The book contains tips for healthy eating and exercise as well as how to navigate social events while maintaining a healthy diet.
