The Egyptian actor Mostafa Shabaan expressed his sorrow for the events that happened in front of the American embassy in Cairo, when protesters were angered by the US film which criticised Islam and its Prophet. Shabaan added in his exclusive statements to Arabstoday: “The previous days was hard for everyone, and I think Egyptians were not paying attention to know the reaction of the artists, as much as to know the public reaction towards this film, which I think it doesn’t deserve a response nor publicity, because by this we give it more than what it deserves." Shabaan participated in the Ramadan series el Zoga el Rabaa series (The Fourth Wife) with Ola Ghanem, Ayten Amer, Leqaa el-Khamisy, Mimi Gamal, Hassan Hosny and Dorra. The series was written by Ahmed Abdel Fatah and directed by Magdy el-Hawary.
