He said: \"My heart burns for Syria. This is the land of peace and the fortress of the Arab world that the enemies are trying to destroy.\" \"The daily destruction of Syria hurts me and makes me sad. I can\'t sleep because of what I see. I hope Syria goes through this crisis as quickly as possible, or else we\'ll wake up to a scary nightmare that no one will believe before it\'s become real.\" Wadee el-Safi urged the Syrian people \"to gather under one flag before it\'s too late.\" On a lighter note, the singer just finished recording two new songs composed by his son.
