Moroccan singer, Nour El Din Badry, is excited over the release of his first album containing heritage Moroccan music. In an exclusive interview with Arabstoday, the singer said that he was looking to officially announce the launch of the album in the coming months, but was currently holding back due to the decline in the artistic field. Nour added: “I have tried to take advantage of the recession and seek to release the album around summer.” “This is my first album so I am very eager to see the response it gets,” he added. Nour has previously released songs of different genres, such as religious based tracks like Ya Rab Anta Maey (God You Are With Me) which was composed by Egyptian star Nagy Azmy, patriotic songs like Ya Balady (My Country) as well as some romantic music such as Ya Leilet Hob (Oh Night of Love). Talking about his new Moroccan based songs, Nour affirmed that it was vital for him to preserve the origin of Moroccan music, which he has done so in the new album. Nour was born in Rabat to an artistic family and grew up in a music-loving household. The singer has travelled to many countries including Egypt, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait. Nour's track Ya Rab Anta Maey was ranked number one at Morocco's renowned religious festival, and the singer has also won an award at Cairo's Arabic song festival.
