Sudan is keen on boosting cooperation relations with Egypt to better serve their peoples' interests, Sudan's Information Minister Yasser Youssef Ibrahim said Wednesday.
Ibrahim is leading a Sudanese media delegation to Egypt with the aim to activate the outcome of a recent summit between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir.
President Bashir wants the media in both countries to play a positive role in boosting bilateral ties, Ibrahim said at a meeting with MENA board chairman and editor-in-chief Alaa Haidar.
Haidar said MENA, the oldest news agency in the region, is keen on enhancing media cooperation with Sudan, particularly its national news agency, SUNA.
Haidar reviewed services offered by MENA through its specialized bulletins and training center.
