Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab asserted on Saturday that cooperation is a must to achieve development.
Addressing a ceremony on the inauguration of a bridge in Cote d'Ivoire, Mahlab said he was pleased to attend such events that are meant to promote Egyptian-African cooperation.
The bridge is one of the promising infrastructure projects that will help the African country bring about economic development.
"It will improve the national economy and tourism," said the Egyptian premier.
"It's also a model of success for Cairo's ties with Abidjan," he added.
Mahlab said both countries overcame all challenges that hindered the implementation of the project.
He said his visit and attendance of the inauguration ceremony was to assert the willing of the Egyptian leadership to boost relations with Ivory Coast.
The Egyptian premier said he had fruitful talks with senior officials in the African country during his trip.
He noted that meetings of the joint committee will be held in June .
