Aswan Governor Mostafa Yousry asserted on Thursday that Aswan enjoys a privileged geographical location that enables it to be an international commercial hub for Africa.
This will help increase investments between Egypt and Africa.
This distinguished location encouraged the government to pump more investments in the productive and service sectors in the governorate, including the establishment of Qustul-Halfa and Toshka-Argeen roads.
He made such remarks during his participation in the inauguration of the Ashkiet-Qustul border crossing on the Egyptian-Sudanese borders.
The crossing was opened in the presence Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and his Sudanese counterpart.
The Qustul land port, built on an area of 180,000 square meters, at a cost of 300 million EGP, will provide new markets for exporting Egyptian products and reduce travel time between Egypt and Sudan, which will facilitate transport processes between the two countries.
