Algerian Energy Minister Salah Khebri said that there are ongoing consultations to make a decision pertaining to holding an extraordinary meeting for the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to study declining of prices.
In statements on Monday, the minister said that the last meeting, of the OPEC held in June, took up the abundance of the offered petroleum compared to the decrease of the demand due to the economic problems in China.
Khebri expected increase of the offered oil starting from December in light of the agreement signed between Iran and western countries concerning the Iranian nuclear file.
