The Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) would help regain investors' confidence in the Egyptian economy and prove to the whole world that the Egyptian government could keep its promises, Egyptian renowned engineer Hani Azer said on Monday.
Azer, who was in charge of building Berlin's Central Station, told "Al Nahar TV" on the phone that the conference is a kick-start for a new Egypt.
The international conference concluded on Sunday in Sharm el Shiekh city of South Sinai.
During the three-day event, Egypt signed investment deals worth more than $138 billion, while Arab Gulf neighbors - Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates - pledged another $12 billion to help stabilize the economy.
