Minister of Trade and Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour on Sunday asserted that the government is lending great attention to supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in order to achieve the required economic growth.
This came during a session under the title "Economic Inclusion: The Role of SMEs and Vocational Training" held during the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) in Sharm el Sheilh on Sunday.
The minister added that this comes within the government's efforts to engage youths, women and handicapped in development process, pointing out at the importance of providing the best vocational training to labor working in such projects in order to increase production.
He also underlined the importance of SMEs in Upper Egypt, adding that such projects will provide more job opportunities and help in achieving economic growth.
