A 110% increase in diesel amounts pumped into gas stations was achieved after 43,000 tons (51 million liters) have been supplied in several governorates, Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail said.
In statements, Ismail reassured citizens that the prices of oil products have not risen, saying there was no need to overcrowd gas stations.
Also, 10,800 tons (116% rise) of 80-octane and 7,300 tons (3% rise) of 92-octane gasoline have been injected to the gas stations, he said.
