GCC foreign ministers are currently debating the final minutes, submitted by the joint technical committee, for implementation of the "Riyadh accord" on settling differences with Qatar, announced the GCC Secretary General on Wednesday.
"The process regarding Qatar's file and implementation of the Riyadh agreement is proceeding," said Abdullateef Al-Zayani, in a statement to journalists after inaugurating a workshop, organized by the GCC Secretariat-General, the Bahrain News Agency reported.
The GCC foreign ministers will hold their regular meeting in Jeddah next Saturday to discuss issues of joint interest, implementing the GCC Supreme Council's resolutions, current regional conditions and the GCC initiative for Yemen, he said.
On joint measures to counter threats posed by the radical movement, the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), also known as the Islamic state, Al-Zayani affirmed that the GCC security apparatuses have been engaged in continuing coordination at this level.
Regarding the Yemeni crisis, he expressed hope that all political parties would resume dialogue.
