Iraqi PM Haider al-Abadi
Ankara - Arab Today

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi on Thursday stated his government's desire to channel oil to the world market via Turkey.
"Iraq and Turkey hold identical views on a range of regional issues such as economy, commerce, security and defense," Al-Abadi told a joint press conference with his Turkish peer Ahmet Davutoglu here.
"Iraq can never allow any armed group to use its territories as launch pad for attacks into neighborly Turkey.
"Both countries share intelligence and cooperate in terms of military training and weaponry in the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)," Al-Abadi added.
On his part, Davutoglu reaffirmed support to Iraq, saying that Turkey will never allow foreign militants to use its territories for transiting into Iraq or Syria.
Turkey's long-standing stance has never changed on terrorist organizations such as ISIL and the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which has been attacking Turkey for decades, he made clear.
Davutoglu added that ISIL poses a threat not only to Turkey and Iraq but to the world peace in its entirety as well.
Al-Abadi arrived here earlier today leading a senior level delegation to the second session of the joint strategic cooperation council.
He held talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Speaker Cemil Cicek.
