Investment Minister Ashraf Salman said on Friday that ambitious investment plans would be announced during a business conference on development of Upper Egypt's cities in September.
The minister made the remarks during a press conference in Hurghada, Friday.
The ministers of local development and agriculture long the governors of Aswan, Qena, Sohag, Minya, Fayyoum, New Valley and Beni Suef attended the pres conference.
During a meeting the ministers and governors discussed preparations for the conference which is planned to take place in September in the coastal city of Hurghada.
According to Salman, the conference would tackle a package of investment projects to enhance the development of area extending between Nubia and downriver to Lower Egypt.
New agricultural projects have been started in the southern part of the Red Sea governorate, Agriculture Minister Salah Helal said.
