New Suez Canal to post key position on investment map

The new Suez Canal will post an important position on the international investment map, said Chairman of Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish.

In statements on Tuesday, Mamish said Egypt and its Suez Canal area in particular are one of the best investment zones in the world in view of their distinguished geographical positions.

Mamish said "the inauguration of the new Suez Canal on August 6 will send a message to the whole world that Egypt is safe and stable and Egyptians are capable of realizing achievements despite the challenges facing them."

He hailed the role played by youths who joined hands to realize development of their nation.

He said "the new Suez Canal will be a slice of history marking the heroic role of the Egyptians to turn the project from an abstract idea into a tangible reality."
