Minister of housing Moustafa Madbouli on Wednesday decided to double the number of the units in the middle-income housing project.
The number of units would be doubled in cities of New Cairo, New Damietta, Al-Obour and Al-Shrouk, due to high demands by citizens, Madbouli added.
The number of units to be carried out in the first phase of the project would hit more than 30,000, the minister noted.
Urban Communities Authority has finished the project plans and the Armed Forces' Engineering Division started to receive the projects' sites.
