Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Dr. Ali Saleh Al-Omair said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiary companies continue to cede more land plots with no prospected feasible oil exploration.
Speaking on sidelines of a Ramadan meal, held late on Wednesday, the minister said seismological surveillance has been conducted at many locations in the country to examine their prospected use by the oil company.
As to the 2020-2030 strategy for developing the oil and gas sectors, the minister said the Supreme Petroleum Council had adopted such a plan, results of which would only be achieved through cooperation between the KPC and the workers in various oil sectors. He also re-affirmed keenness on maintaining payments for the oil sector personnel.
